Authenticity Guarantee
Every piece is hand-selected, cleaned, and described using over 20 years of vintage experience. When a listing says a piece is vintage, it is vintage. If an item isn't as described, I'll refund you in full, including shipping.
Vintage Condition
Every piece here is pre-loved and often decades old, so expect gentle signs of age and use, like light scratches, softened plating or finish, small marks, or patina. That's part of each piece's history and charm, and nothing will look fresh off a showroom floor.
Anything beyond normal wear, such as chips, cracks, repairs or damage, is always pointed out in the description and shown in the photos. If an item arrives with a flaw I didn't mention, my return policy has you covered.

Vintage Shu-Mak-Up Shoe Conditioner Tin | Mid-Century Advertising Can | High Heel Graphics | 4.25" | Empty, Display Only
Fashion history in a little tin. This vintage Shu-Mak-Up Conditioner can is covered in bright orange and white graphics: a pair of legs in stiletto heels, one in a black pump and one in an orange and white checked pump, with atomic starbursts and a yellow daisy scattered around the label. It still has its yellow screw cap.
Shu-Mak-Up was a color coating for changing the color of women's shoes and handbags, and this conditioner prepared them for coloring. The label reads Shu-Mak-Up, Inc., Los Angeles 58, California. Numbered postal zones like that were used before ZIP codes arrived in 1963, and the Shu-Mak-Up trademark was filed in 1957, so this can dates to about the late 1950s or early 1960s. A great piece for a vanity, a closet shelf, a shoe lover's display or a mid-century advertising collection.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. The graphics are bright, with light age spots and small marks. The bare metal top, rims and side seam have darkened with age. The can is empty and is sold for display only. Please see all photos.
