Game, set, poodle. This little vintage brooch is a gold-tone poodle with a curly textured coat, a topknot and a pom-pom tail, holding a tennis racket with a woven-look face. Seven faceted white milk glass stones make up the body, and tiny green eyes and a black nose give the face plenty of personality.
At just 1" it's a sweet size for a collar, cardigan, hat or tennis bag, and a fun gift for a poodle lover or tennis player. Poodle jewelry was a big favorite in the 1950s and 60s; this one is unmarked, so its exact age isn't known.
Condition: Good vintage condition. There is wear to the gold-tone finish, with darkened spots across the textured surface. The close-up photos taken in hand show the finish most accurately. All seven stones are present, and the pin back has a rollover safety clasp. Unmarked. Please see all photos.
