A little roll of classroom history. This vintage McGraw-Hill Book Co. filmstrip is "La Casa" from the Spanish for Elementary Schools, Set 2 series, still in its bright red plastic canister with the original McGraw-Hill Filmstrips label on the lid, numbered 405552.
The 35mm strip shows scenes of family life at home with a numbered Spanish caption under each frame, like "Miguel coge la leche del refrigerador." It was made as a sound filmstrip (marked "Sound F/S"), meant to be shown along with a separate recording, which is not included. A fun find for a Spanish teacher, a collector of old school and audiovisual pieces, a shadow box, or mixed media and art projects.
Condition: Used vintage condition, untested, and sold as seen. The film's color has shifted to red and pink with age, and the strip has scratches and wear. The lid label has pink handwriting on it. This is the filmstrip and canister only, with no recording or projector. Please see all photos.
