A little piece of the pampas. This vintage hammered copper souvenir ashtray from Argentina is a small dish with a ruffled, pie-crust edge, a richly darkened hammered surface and two cigarette rests. In the center is a raised brass-tone emblem of a gaucho knife crossed with a riding crop above a banner that reads ARGENTINA.
It is palm-sized, so it works just as well as a ring dish, a coin catch or a trinket tray on a desk or dresser. A nice small find for a travel souvenir collection, a copper lover or anyone with ties to Argentina.
Condition: Very good vintage condition with a dark, aged patina on the copper. Please see all photos.
