Authenticity Guarantee
Every piece is hand-selected, cleaned, and described using over 20 years of vintage experience. When a listing says a piece is vintage, it is vintage. If an item isn't as described, I'll refund you in full, including shipping.
Vintage Condition
Every piece here is pre-loved and often decades old, so expect gentle signs of age and use, like light scratches, softened plating or finish, small marks, or patina. That's part of each piece's history and charm, and nothing will look fresh off a showroom floor.
Anything beyond normal wear, such as chips, cracks, repairs or damage, is always pointed out in the description and shown in the photos. If an item arrives with a flaw I didn't mention, my return policy has you covered.

Antique Art Nouveau Hand Painted Porcelain Dish | Pink Flowers on Olive Green with Gold | German Jugendstil | Gesetzlich Geschützt | c. 1900–1915 | 3.25"
Somebody painted this little dish by hand more than a hundred years ago, and every brushstroke still shows. It's pure Art Nouveau (or Jugendstil, as the Germans called it): a pink wild flower and two magenta buds float in a curvy white panel edged in gold and tiny gold dots, while long, swooping leaves wrap around it on a brushed olive green ground. Every leaf and stem is outlined in fine gold, and the green fans out in soft rays toward a gilded rim.
Turn it over and you'll find a red overglaze stamp reading "Gesetzlich Geschützt," German for "protected by law," which marked a registered design. There's also a hand-painted red pattern number and a faint blue underglaze factory mark, partly hidden under the red stamp and too blurred to identify. It's the kind of mark German porcelain makers and decorators used in the early 1900s.
- Material: Hand painted porcelain with gold gilt
- Maker: German, marked "Gesetzlich Geschützt" with a hand-painted pattern number; blue factory mark unreadable
- Era: About 1900 to 1915, Art Nouveau / Jugendstil
- Style: Small round dish with a foot ring, about 1" deep; works as a pin dish, ring dish or little bowl
- Size: about 3 1/4" in diameter
- Color: Olive green, white, pink and magenta, with gold
- Condition: Very good antique condition. No chips or cracks seen in our photos. The gold on the rim shows wear in spots, and the fine gold lines are softer in a few places. There are a few tiny dark specks from the kiln on the back and a little age grime in the unglazed foot ring. Please see all photos.
Set it on a dresser for your rings, or on a desk for paper clips that suddenly feel very fancy. Curious what all those marks on the back mean? Read our guide, What Does Gesetzlich Geschützt Mean? Pair it with our Rosenthal Cobalt and Gold Demitasse Cup & Saucer or the Antique Mintons Porcelain Dish. Styling props shown in photos are not included.
One of a kind, only one available. When it's gone, it's gone.
