Can't you just picture her? Lipstick, a compact and a dance card tucked inside, this little bag catching the light on the way into a ballroom. This signed Whiting & Davis gold mesh evening bag is one of the nicest we've ever found, with bright mesh, a sparkling clasp and a lining that appears unused.
The body is made of Whiting & Davis's signature flat gold-tone metal mesh, which drapes like fabric and shimmers when it moves. It hangs from a gold-tone frame with a scalloped edge, and it's topped with an Art Deco style rhinestone clasp: a large round-cut stone, a square-cut stone and a chevron of small clear rhinestones. It carries on a gold-tone rope chain handle and opens to a gold satin lining.
