A lady's hand to hold your letters. This vintage solid brass clip is shaped like a graceful hand with a ruffled cuff tied with a bow, and it snaps down on a spring to hold notes, recipes, photos or bills.
The back plate has a crosshatch pattern under the fingers and a hanging loop at the top, so it can go on a wall or a hook, or lie flat on a desk as a paperweight clip. Letter clips like this go back to Victorian desks, and this one carries on that style.
