Two panthers guarding your face powder, as one does. This vintage Panthère de Cartier Poudre Satinée dusting powder comes in the original plastic jar: a frosted golden amber faceted base topped with a glossy black dome lid guarded by two frosted panther heads, finished with a gold-tone rim. Inside you'll find the fluffy powder puff, the Parfums Cartier sifter cap and the powder itself.
Panthère de Cartier was introduced in 1986, so this jar dates to the late 1980s. The panther is Cartier's signature emblem, and this sculptural jar is as much a display piece as a powder. It's lovely on a dresser or vanity tray, and a great find for Cartier and vintage perfume collectors.
Condition: The jar is mostly full of powder, and it's unknown whether it was ever used. The gold-tone trim on the lid has dulled and discolored with age and has lost its luster, and the lid and base show light wear and signs of use. Being vintage powder, it's sold as a collectible and vanity piece. Please see all photos.
