Two pears, almost seventy years, and still not ripe. This vintage Shell Pink milk glass creamer by Jeannette Glass is in the Baltimore Pear pattern, with plump raised pears hanging from a stippled branch of leaves on both sides. It has a sawtooth rim, a generous pouring spout, a square bar handle with ball ends and an octagonal pedestal foot.
Jeannette made its Shell Pink milk glass line for only a few years, from about 1957 to 1959, and it's a favorite with pink glass collectors today. Baltimore Pear is a reissue of a beloved 1880s pressed glass pattern. Use it for cream, as a little pitcher for flowers, or simply as a sweet accent on a shelf, vanity or tea table.
