Authenticity Guarantee
Every piece is hand-selected, cleaned, and described using over 20 years of vintage experience. When a listing says a piece is vintage, it is vintage. If an item isn't as described, I'll refund you in full, including shipping.
Vintage Condition
Every piece here is pre-loved and often decades old, so expect gentle signs of age and use, like light scratches, softened plating or finish, small marks, or patina. That's part of each piece's history and charm, and nothing will look fresh off a showroom floor.
Anything beyond normal wear, such as chips, cracks, repairs or damage, is always pointed out in the description and shown in the photos. If an item arrives with a flaw I didn't mention, my return policy has you covered.

Vintage Flow Blue Style Tree Stump Hatpin Holder | Cobalt Blue & White Roses | Ceramic | Vanity Decor | 4"
Before bobby pins, a lady's hat stayed put thanks to a hatpin as long as a pencil, and every dresser needed a safe place to stand them up. This vintage ceramic hatpin holder does the job in style: a little tree stump with stubby branches, wrapped in cobalt blue and white roses that melt softly into the glaze, just like old English flow blue.
The rounded top is pierced with holes to hold your hatpins, stick pins or brooches upright, and the branch stubs make handy little hooks for rings. It sits on a wide, flared base that's deep cobalt blue, fading to a mottled white up the trunk.
- Material: Glazed ceramic (ironstone-style earthenware) with a transfer-printed design
- Maker: Unknown. There's a faint blue stamp on the unglazed base, but it's too blurred to read.
- Era: About the 1980s to 1990s, made in the style of Victorian flow blue
- Style: Tree stump hatpin holder with 3 branch stubs, pierced top and flared base. The bottom is open, as made.
- Size: about 4" tall and about 3.75" across the base
- Color: Cobalt blue and white
- Condition: Good vintage condition. No chips or cracks seen in our photos. Two of the branch tips have small rough tan spots where the glaze is thin or missing, and the glossy base has light surface scratches. The unglazed bottom has rust-colored stains and specks from age and storage. Please see all photos.
Set it on a vanity with your favorite pins, use it as a ring tree by the sink, or tuck it into a blue and white collection on a hutch. Curious how flow blue got its blurry look? Read our guide, Flow Blue, Delft or Blue Onion? Pair it with our Antique K&G Luneville Flow Blue Salad Plate or the Waechtersbach Blue Onion Barrel Jar. Styling props shown in photos are not included.
One of a kind, only one available. When it's gone, it's gone.
