Vintage Condition

Return Policy
Changed your mind? Contact me within 30 days of delivery. Items must be returned unworn, in the packaging they were shipped in, and securely packed. Buyer pays return shipping unless the item was not as described. Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5 business days of receiving the item.

Somebody named Cleo was well loved, or maybe Cleo was the horse. This vintage handmade horse head belt buckle is made from a plate of silver-tone metal with gently scooped sides, hand stamped with the name CLEO across the top and five X marks, a bit like cross stitches or a row of little brands. A raised horse head in profile sits at the center.
The small quirks give it away as one person's work and not a factory piece: the letters sit slightly uneven, the X stamps vary in depth, and you can see the backs of the stamps and the hand soldering on the reverse. The back has a fixed belt loop on one side and a hook on the other. There is no maker's mark.
The metal is not marked. It is bright silver in color and shows no rust, so it is most likely stainless steel or nickel silver, but it has not been tested. A one-of-a-kind find for a Cleo, a horse lover or a Western buckle collector.

Condition: Good vintage condition with wear from use. There are light surface scratches and scuffs on the front, and rougher hand finishing, solder marks and scratches on the back. No rust. Please look closely at all photos, as they are part of the description.
