Sweet as can be, with a wagging little tail. This vintage mid-century ceramic fawn lamp base is a glossy baby deer in soft cream with airbrushed brown shading, white spots on its back, pink ears and a pink bow at its neck, standing on a sunny yellow base. Its head is tilted and its eyes are closed in a sleepy smile.
Behind the fawn is a molded tree trunk with a hole at the top for a lamp fitting and a cord hole near the bottom. It comes with no lamp hardware, so you can wire it up as a nursery or bedside lamp, or simply enjoy it as a figurine on a shelf. A darling piece for a woodland nursery, a deer collector or a kitschy mid-century display.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. There is one bubble in the glaze, shown in the close-up photo, and it is the only flaw. No lamp hardware is included. Please see all photos.
