Flower power for the kitchen counter. This vintage Anchor Hocking Rain Flower canister is pressed avocado green glass with a pebbly "rain" texture all over and big raised blooms around the body. It stands on a footed base and has its matching glass lid with a flower-shaped knob. The Anchor Hocking anchor mark is on the bottom.
Rain Flower is a 1970s Anchor Hocking pattern, and avocado green is about as 1970s as a kitchen color gets. At 9" tall it's a handy size for coffee, tea bags, cookies or dog treats, and it works just as well in a bathroom for cotton balls or bath salts. Set it near a window and the green glows.
Condition: Good vintage condition with two things to note. There is a rough spot on the inside rim of the jar. There is also one small spot on the outside lip that could be a little divot, an old chip that someone smoothed down, or a bubble in the glass; whichever it is, it is completely smooth to the touch. No other defects. The plastic cover on the underside of the lid is still in place and in very good condition. Please look closely at all photos, as they are part of the description.
